I came here & tried catfish for the first time. I have not had any catfish since so it is still the best catfish I have ever had. Blueberry pie was phenomenal! The muffin serviced with the plate was so good we had to go grab another before leaving. The baked potato was also cooked to perfection. The portions are huge so be prepared to nap afterwards. I'll definitely be trying the burger next time. Atmosphere was comfortable & the staff were very friendly.

Hungry Horse is awesome! The portions are amazing! 3 different sizes! The pony is just enough but the regular is more than enough food but if you’re still hungry there’s another level. Food is delicious, takes me back to when I’d go visit my grandparents on Sunday! Yum 5 I recommend the chicken fried steak!
Stopped in after a long trip, 30 minutes before close. They served sand the food was super good, home cooked style. The Bran muffins were the BEST I've ever had.

Classic country casual dining. Very generous portions and a great selection of fried food. My husband and I both got big portions of chicken fried steak and sides, and our friends got a buffalo chicken sandwich and a meat loaf sandwich. We were all very happy with our food except for my friend who had asked for buffalo sauce with her sandwich and only got regular hot sauce. She was a bit disappointed there. But we all took home plenty of leftovers and very full bellies. It was a great lunch stop after seeing Cave Without a Name. We'll definitely return!
I was in boerne for a couple of hrs and I'm glad I came across this restaurant. Their chicken fried steak is really good. I love that the breading was nice and crunchy. I would definitely be back when ever I'm in boerne again.
